Eddie Shapiro founded Nest Seekers International in 2002. His philosophies and foundations of delivering individualized local attention to clients and customers is deeply instilled in the nearly 700 like minded professionals led by him and positioned in the US around the globe. Much of his firm's success has been driven by his marketing concepts and innovations and its ability to implement technology ahead of its competition.

How did you get into the real estate industry?

When I was 19 years old and looking for my way out in the world, a friend suggested I should try getting my real estate license. I was trying different jobs. Within the first 30-60 days I experienced the rush of making deals. I immediately knew this is something I’m going to stick with for a while. Its been 20 years.

Tell us about Nestseekers. What inspired the idea and what is your vision for the company?

Nest Seekers around 9/11 with plans on building a real estate firm that is very technology driven. It evolved beyond my original expectations with now over 700 agents and employees spread between 4 markets, 3 states and 15 offices and storefront locations.

What strategic partnerships have you implemented that have attributed to Nestseekers's success?
Nest Seekers has various partnerships. We are partners with corporate relocation and corporate housing firm that deal temporary housing. We are partners with developers. We are partners with similar firms based out of Europe, South America, and Asia and work together on various international projects.
What industry trends are you noticing and how do you capitalize on them?
The Ultra high end market has grown tremendously over the past 2-3 years. We represent buyers and sellers with real estate aspirations north of $10M in all 4 markets and have excelled dramatically in the space. We are an integral participant in the new development side of the business.

Your greatest success as founder of Nestseekers? Most difficult moment-how did you overcome and what did you learn?

Most difficult moment is first weeks. Sitting in an office 8X10, with computer equipment I bought on ebay and one employee, unfriendly a programmer and trying to recruit agents to come work for me. Great success I believe is yet to happen.

Your advice to an aspiring entrepreneur?

See it, believe it, then - never stop.

How do you motivate your employees?

I tell them again and again my story. Came from nothing and started with nothing. Hard work guarantees success.
