Seline Shenoy: Author, Podcast Host & Life Coach

My NativeAdVantage:

Bio:

SELINE SHENOY, author of Beauty Redefined, is a podcast host and life coach who focuses on personal empowerment, self-esteem, productivity, and wellness. As the founder of The Dream Catcher, a blog community that encourages people to live their ideal life, Shenoy’s inspirational message has been attracting thousands of people worldwide since 2014. She is a regular contributor to a variety of publications including Forbes, MindBodyGreen, Elite Daily, Project Happiness, and Global Love Project.

What do I do best?

I’ve always been a determined and persistent person with lots of endurance. Once I’ve got my heart set on something, there’s no stopping me!  I also think I’ve got a good knack for researching and synthesizing information, and using that knowledge to come up with my own creative insights and ideas. I’m very tuned into my body - I know how to take care of my needs and stay healthy and balanced.

What makes me the best version of myself?

My insatiable curiosity and commitment to personal growth has served me well. I love to learn, whether it’s through books, videos, classes or workshops. I’m open to any opportunity that allows me to broaden my horizon such as traveling, creative pursuits or watching a show or a movie. I’m also fascinated with the diversity of people on this planet – whenever I meet someone new, I’m always asking lots of questions because I believe that we can learn something unique from every persons story.

What are my aspirations?

Personally, I would love to travel to all the places on my wish list, meet interesting people from various backgrounds, and achieve a lasting sense of inner peace. I also want to work with orphan and homeless kids by offering them support and guidance. Businesswise, I want to grow and expand my platform and influence so that I can share my message and knowledge with as many people as possible. I want to leave this world convinced that I used my life force to serve the greater good.

My Biggest Success?

Living my life based on my own terms and values by liberating myself from the familial and social expectations of my culture. I’m also proud of how much my blog, The Dream Catcher, has grown and the positive feedback I receive from the 1000’s of readers who read my posts from all over the world.

My Most Challenging Moment?

My decision to forgive those who hurt and betrayed me in my past. I didn’t want to go on in my life carrying all that emotional baggage. I realized that I had to travel light if I wanted I wanted my life to have meaning and for me to experience love again.

My Motto?

The concept of “going with the flow” and surrendering control over a situation has been a guiding force for me. I used to be a control freak who believed that I had to manage everything in my life! It took me a while to learn that, sometimes, letting go is exactly what’s needed to manifest what you desire. And if it doesn’t work out as you hoped it would, believe that it’s for the best, and change your course.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

My dad achieved lots of success in his career because he was willing to take chances and envision bigger and better possibilities for his life even though he grew up in a poor and rural town. I’ve received tremendous spiritual guidance and personal breakthroughs from medical intuitive and spiritual leader Caroline Myss. Last but not least, I’m inspired by creative geniuses and pioneers like Walt Disney and David Copperfield. Witnessing their art has made me believe in magic and that I can achieve the impossible if I truly believe in my dreams and if I’m willing to put in the work to see it through.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

For me, Disney World is certainly one of the happiest places on Earth. It brings out the inner kid in me and allows me to escape the objective and harsh perspectives that come with adulthood. I also love Scandinavia and the Nordic areas for the beautiful scenery and Japan for its rich culture and history.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

My iPod, photographs, vision board and my Swarovski crystal figurine of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, who represents intelligence, courage, kindness and beauty – qualities that I strive for.

My Current Passions?

Right now, I’m passionate about promoting the message of my book, Beauty Redefined. I want to ignite a beauty revolution that encourages society to adopt a healthier and wholesome view of feminine beauty. In doing so, I’m hoping that this helps more and more girls and women to feel comfortable in their skin and live up to their potential.
