What do I do best?

I’m very good at telling stories.

What makes me the best version of myself?

My most important quality is being able to laugh at myself! I would have been doomed otherwise. Always good to have a little perspective.

What are my aspirations?

Personally, I’d like to raise my children to be good, compassionate, aware, and courageous human beings. Career-wise, I’d like to be writing and directing films until I keel over and die (hopefully at a ripe, old age)!

My Biggest Success?

I’m most proud of my friendships and my family relationships. With their support, I’ve been able to follow my heart and achieve whatever filmmaking success I’ve had so far.

My Most Challenging Moment?

The most difficult decision I made, and one I live with every day, was cutting someone out of my life. It wasn’t - and - still isn’t - an easy decision. But it was important for me to take a stand.

My Motto?

If a tree is strong, why should it fear the storm?

My Favorite People/Role Models?

My favorite people are my goofy kids, and my role models are the holy triumvirate of Gurinder Chadha, Mira Nair, and Deepa Mehta.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

I love going home to Colorado, but my absolute favorite trip was studying abroad in India during college. I got to see so much of the motherland and had lots of crazy adventures.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

Chapstick. Vital for my well-being.

My Current Passions?

Writing, directing, filmmaking!
