What do I do best?

One of the qualities I exude best in life and in my business is creating an atmosphere of vulnerability, honesty, and openness. I have always valued true connection with others, and love giving other people encouragement and permission to be 100% themselves in all situations of life. I’ve been complimented both personally and professionally that I have a way of making people feel very comfortable, and I LOVE that this is something people consistently tell me. I always want people to feel comfortable and encouraged when they are around me.

What makes me the best version of myself?

The most important characteristic that has gotten me to where I am today is hands down my ability to be optimistic and hopeful while trusting God’s hold on my life. I don’t care how horrible a situation may be or how shitty I may feel, I always seek the positives. Even if it takes YEARS for a circumstance to come full circle and bring me a new life lesson or positive outcome, I am always trusting that God brings all things together for the greater good in my life- and he ALWAYS does. Aside from faith, I am a strong believer that what we think about expands- so I always try to focus on the good and let the bad slide off my shoulders. Why hold onto it?

What are my aspirations?

In my personal life and in business, my goals are to always make the people around me feel more loved, understood, and appreciated after spending time with me. Whether it is a client who is dealing with a health challenge, or a friend going through a hard time- I always strive to put myself in another person’s shoes to the point that I can feel what they are dealing with and walk through that struggle with them as a friend and a mentor.

My Biggest Success?

My biggest success has to be moving out to Colorado with my husband 1.5 years ago when we had nothing but some savings in our bank account and hope in our hearts. We moved to Denver with endless dreams + goals, and have managed to create a life we are in awe of every single day. It’s been the wildest ride of my life, plenty of amazing days and stressful ones in between- but we wouldn’t trade it for the world.

My Most Challenging Moment?

My most challenging moment was deciding to move 1,600 miles across the country and starting a nutrition business in a new city. I’ve had more breakdowns in this last 1.5 years than I ever thought possible and I’ve wanted to give up more times than I can count on two hands, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Choosing to start my own business has expanded my conception of what is possible, and has made me trust in the universe and myself more than ever before.

My Motto?

I have two things that I consistently say to myself: 1. You’re always smart enough to figure it out, 2. I don’t do guilt and shame.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

Someone I regularly find myself listening to for business encouragement is Gary Vaynerchuck- he has a way of “telling it how it is” without getting emotional or complicated in his delivery. He’s honest and blunt, and- as an entrepreneur- it’s so important to have this kind of encouragement to pull you out of your own head. I also LOVE Tony Robbins and Brene Brown for the same reasons- blunt truth, honesty, and vulnerability.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Not to be boring, but I absolutely love my home city here in Denver, CO. We’re close to the mountains and close to the city- the perfect combo in my opinion. In regards to vacation spots, I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Maui, HI- my family has taken a few trips here and I have the sweetest memories from those times.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

My favorite object right now (in regards to cooking) is hands down our Breville Smart Oven. It’s a kick ass toaster oven that does 1000 things- bake, broil, toast, bake cookies, cook freezer pizzas, slow cook, etc. It’s something I use every single day. I could also say the same about our Vitamix! My husband got me a refurbished one about 4 years ago (its a 5200 series) and it works like a freakin dream- we use it for everything from smoothies, to coffee, to ice cream, to salad dressings, to soups and more!

Aside from food, I’m head over heels in love with my frenchie, Denali. He brightens my every day and is my favorite little business partner.

My Current Passions?

My current passion lately has been reading- which is a huge surprise to me! I used to hate reading. I think I’m finally past the point of dreading books (thanks to college and post-collegiate studies) and I actually look forward to learning more and more through reading. My goal lately has been to read at least one book per month, and I’ve stuck with it so far in 2018.
