Anna Louise Spang: Model, Actress & Digital Entrepreneur

My NativeAdVantage:

Anna Louise Spang was a small town country girl from Sweden. She always had big dreams and knew early in life that she wanted to explore the world. At the age of 17 she moved to California the first time to study Marine Biology at UCSB in Santa Barbara, where she kind of was a book worm and honored the award "Freshman of the Year". She was this year also approached by a modelling scout for the Abercrombie and Fitch advertising campaign and this came to be her first modelling job. The following year she put her passion for science and biology aside and moved to Milan to try out modelling. She was captivated by the fashion world and the lifestyle that let her travel to so many beautiful places. The following years she lived in Italy, France, Spain and the US modelling and studying languages. She is now fluent in five languages and her passion for travelling has become a way of living. She moved to Argentina for love and stayed in this beautiful country for about four years and at the end of this journey she decided to move back to Los Angeles. Being completely convinced that a nine to five job working for someone else would never be for her, she decided to create her own company, Elevated Lifestyle, which is a platform for people to work on their own terms and on their own hours from their lap tops anywhere they want in the world.

What do I do best?

I am very curious. I left my home town and country when I was 17 years old and ever since then I have always wanted to experience new things and places. I am never satisfied and always want to learn more. I always see the good in every person I meet and I think it’s important to know that every single individual can teach you something new.

What makes me the best version of myself?

I think I am good with people. I try to be generous to every person that I meet and I try to listen. To get what you want you need to understand people and learn how to give them what they want in return. And be positive. Believe in yourself and your own abilities. If I don’t know how to do something I learn how to do it. Take inspiration from those around you but don’t try to be them. Nobody can do you better than you can!

What are my aspirations?

I want to inspire more people to be the best versions of themselves possible. Mentally and physically. Teach them that they don’t need to settle. They don’t need to live a regular life or follow any rules to succeed. They can live life their own way. But health is number one. So I want to teach people how to keep their mind and body strong and to do that they need to remove toxic people and situations from their lives. After that the sky is the limit.

My Biggest Success?

Making it on my own in Los Angeles. I have lived in many cities in five countries before coming to Los Angeles and this is by far the most challenging city to live in and work in by yourself. People come here with tremendous ambitions and huge dreams and step on each other’s toes on a daily basis so it makes you create a strength within yourself that is unbeatable. But what I am most proud of is that I have kept a soft heart and compassion for people within this tough environment. That is the real challenge

My Most Challenging Moment?

Before moving to Los Angeles and starting my own business, I was in a very challenging relationship with a man that I lived in Argentina with. We lived a very high speed life, a very exciting life and he taught me a lot of what I know till this date but I needed to break free and make life happen on my own for me. Doing this was the most challenging moment of my life and has made me grow tremendously.

My Motto?

Life is not about finding yourself. It is about creating yourself. You never need to accept or settle for circumstances when you know you can be and do better. See each day as a new opportunity to be the best you can be and you have no obligation to anybody to be the same person you were yesterday. Never stop learning and evolving.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

My dad has always been my favorite person and my biggest role model. I think I am a mini version of him. A little bit crazy but always fun to be around and his mind is constantly creative. He sees the best in everyone just like I do, he never judges people and he is always curious and adventurous. And he is the best man I know.

Business wise it is every strong woman who went her own way. It is very important to teach our girls that they don’t need a man to take care of them or live by any out guided rules. Every woman can imagine and create their own dream if we only teach them how to believe that they can.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Every tropical destination. I love beaches and warm weather so the Caribbeans, the Bahamas, Miami etc. My all time favorite though is Costa Rica because of its variety of animals and plants and because it is literally like being in the jungle. No place I am happier than in places like these.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

My Macbook Air that is an extension of me and that I together with my Iphone do all my work from. My Nike running shoes and my Mermaid Hair conditioner from Urban Outfitters. These are all the things I need  :)

My Current Passions?

Yoga and fitness. I have learned that if I take care of myself physically first all the rest follows. It clears my mind, gives me confidence and strength to take on the day. Smiling at people. If I remember to smile at every person that I meet everything will automatically be better. Try it!
