What do you do best?

I am best at being an entrepreneur and living life on my terms. Specifically, in my niche market of aerial fitness. I’ve figured out how to turn my passion into my paycheck through several streams of revenue for my company Aerial Physique Inc.

What makes you the best version of yourself?

Being the ‘best’ in my field did not happen overnight. It’s been years of physical effort, goal setting, planning, learning and creating. From a young age, I’ve had the go getter attitude along with a lot of self-discipline. I didn’t follow the traditional ‘path’ instead, I figured out what works for me.   I’ve always had a keen interest in business along with the performing arts which is rare. Many ‘artists’ struggle with the business side of things. What makes me the best is my ability to blend my passion for the creative and artistic side of what I do along with the business. I am pleased to say that I have authored 5 books, I have two Aerial Physique studio headquarters, one in Los Angeles, California and the second in Shenyang, China. I am a clothing designer and have 2 jumpsuits on the market specifically designed for aerial work. I lead an internationally recognized teacher training program and I have a video tutorial membership site.

What are your aspirations?

I’m not going to be shy about this one…. I plan to have a bank account that looks like a phone number by age 35 and to have enough financial means to retire by the age of 40 if I wanted to (even though I’m sure I won’t retire… I can hardly sit still for 10 minutes!). With Aerial Physique growing exponentially, and the creation of my many streams of income I know I am on the right track. I aspire to live to my fullest potential in business, in love, in fun and in travel. We only go around once, why not aim high!?

Biggest Success?

My biggest success is my recent Aerial Physique World Tour which allowed by husband and I to travel on a 10 city, 3-month tour throughout Thailand, China and all over Europe. I lead Teacher Training programs and aerial workshops to aerial enthusiasts around the globe. With the 2017 tour being such a hit, we are already planning next year’s tour!

Most Challenging Moment?

My most challenging moment was when I first began Aerial Physique in the summer of 2012. I took on a desk job after a need for income between my performing contracts. Being a performer has its positives and negatives. A major negative is it’s hard to get consistent work, most contracts are only 3-6 months long! So, I found myself selling gym memberships at the swanky Equinox in Los Angeles. Long story short… the desk job was soul sucking yet it appeared ‘stable’ I knew that it wasn’t where I was supposed to be. So after only a month on the job of cold calls, gym tours and sales quotas which I met, I quit… on the quest to create something ‘stable’ that I was passionate about… Aerial Physique.  (P.S. the gym job was not a total waste, it’s where I met my husband, we celebrate 4 years of marriage this month!)

My personal mantra… “ I asked me and me said yes! “

Favorite People/Role Models?

First off, my favorite person on the planet is my husband. He allows me to be me and is with me every step of the way. I met him around the same time I began Aerial Physique, he has been my support, my cheerleader and my confidence booster. Business wise, I admire people such as Misty Copeland, the ballerina who beat all the odds and now is not only a dancer but a business mogul. I also admire and applaud any person who creates and decides to think for themselves. Someone who is true to themselves and their desires and who doesn’t follow the masses just because they feel they are ‘supposed to.’ People who think outside the box and who truly create a life they love… people who live… not just a 9-5 existence… these kind of people are my role models.

Favorite Places/Destinations?

I feel at home when I’m in the air, doing my thing on the fabric wherever that may be! Travel wise my favorite cities to date are Vienna, Amsterdam, Berlin and NYC.

Favorite Products/Objects?

I can’t live without my Burt’s Bees Chapstick, cold brew coffee and dark chocolate!

I also have an obsession with cute notebooks and calendars.

Current Passions?

I love to plan, goal set and make things happen. I have a thing for lists, organization and my label maker! Currently, I have a huge passion for travel. Although I despise airplanes and airports it’s all worth it once the travel destination is reached! There’s nothing like taking in a new place, new culture, new people and new experiences. I also really enjoy ‘me’ time during my daily workout, whether it’s a yoga, barre, ballet, Pilates or aerial class it’s what makes me feel alive, clear and happy. At the end of the day nothing beats a good glass of red wine and a nice heart to heart evening out or in with my husband.
