KEAN GRAHAM: Founder & CEO, MonetizeMore

My NativeAdVantage:

Kean is the Founder & CEO of MonetizeMore. He started MonetizeMore in 2010 with the goal to build a bootstrap business that would dramatically increase ad revenues for publishers. Over the years, Kean has perfected the proprietary MonetizeMore ad optimization model and now increases ad revenues for hundreds of publisher networks in over 40 countries. Kean is an avid sport enthusiast and an even more passionate guy about traveling. He lives his dream of traveling the world and growing MonetizeMore. Kean believes that everyone on the MonetizeMore team should have location and time freedom. This means each team member has the ability to set their own schedules and work from anywhere in the world. This is the lifestyle Kean has created for himself and he believes each team member deserves a similar work lifestyle.

What do I do best?

Decision making is my best trait. I am decisive, I consistently keep emotions out of my decisions and I can weigh both sides quite intuitively. It is rare that I have ever regretted a business decision and I am consistent with follow-through and making sure each team member does the same.

What makes me the best version of myself?

I have a very good routine of remote working:

- Increments: On a weekday I'll do three increments of 2 - 4 hours. In between, I'll do something active or social so that when I start a new increment of work, I am refreshed and ready to go

.- Personalized Schedule: I don't work when society thinks I should work. I work when I am most alert and I produce my best work (Late night).

- Morning Bliss: After I wake up, I give myself at least 30 minutes to not look at emails, Skype or Slack. Otherwise, this can be a stressful way to start my day wrong.

What are my aspirations?

I plan to travel the world (At 75+ countries now) and build the most useful ad tech product for publishers that depend on ad revenues in the world.

My Biggest Success?

My biggest success has been growing MonetizeMore to the size and success it is today. We now have 80+ team members, are an official AdSense Certified Partner, we have state of art ad technology and one of the most trusted names in the industry.

My Most Challenging Moment?

Saving the company from the brink of bankruptcy after losing 99% of total revenues after Google disapproved our DoubleClick Ad Exchange master account. I am most proud of the strength, perseverance and versatility from our team and myself. We survived such a tragic event that would have killed other companies.

My Motto?

You’ll never write an incredible story until you realize you are the author.

This mantra has stuck with me for a long time. Ever since I realized I have the power to control my future and the outcomes around me, that empowerment has drove me forward through any challenge and has enabled each success that I can celebrate today.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

Dalai Lama: His calm demeanor, selfless mentality and ability to consistently be content and fulfilled is incredible.

Warren Buffet: To be one of the richest and most successful people in the world and still act and live humbly is inspiring.

Alan Watts: His ability to think from a high level, inspire and dictate with so much passion and meaning is something I strive to achieve in my life.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Cape Town, South Africa: One of the best cities I’ve ever lived in. It is full of natural wonders, adventures around the corner and a lively city to enjoy.

Okavango Delta, Botswana: The natural wonder of the immense wildlife and breathtaking landscapes is something I’ve never seen anywhere in the world.

Floripa, Brazil: An incredible beach paradise island on the Southern part of Brazil. It’s a great experience to visit or live, quality of life is quite high and the beauty of the island never gets old.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

TRX: I’ve have lugged this puppy around the world to stay active and fit. The versatility of this gym within a duffle bag allows me to work-out in the forest, on the beach, in a parking lot or wherever I can hook those straps on.

Squash racquet: Not the easiest thing to bring around traveling but the benefits outweigh the struggle. I love squash and it’s a great experience to play locals from around the world and stay fit.

MacBook Air: I couldn’t grow my business while traveling without it. It’s lightweight, durable, user-friendly and can be used pretty much anywhere.

My Current Passions?

Sports: I am a competitive person that sometime needs an outlet during those stressful business days. Sports like golf, squash, tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball, snowboarding or whatever local sport I happen to pick up is a great way for me to blow off steam and stay healthy.

Travel: This was the biggest reason I originally started my business. I fell in love with travel and my business was my vessel.

People: I really enjoy meeting new people. This is a big part of traveling and part of the reason why I’m also passionate about traveling. I am a very curious person and love to learn about people of different cultures and hear their unique stories.
