Miki Ash: Yoga Instructor, Artist, Wellness Enthusiast & Content Creator

My NativeAdVantage:

Miki Ash was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. From a young age she was raptured by the arts and being creative. She found yoga at 18 and let it take her around the world. She started teaching at 19 and has since led retreats in Greece, Mexico, and Costa Rica. She is passionate about meditation and teaching tools of mindfulness and connection. She loves all things wellness, travel, being cozy, drinking matcha and her sweet pup, Bodhi.

What do I do best?

I’d like to think of myself as a humble person, so this is a challenging question for me to answer.

I think I put people at ease. I make them feel comfortable and safe and loved. I remind people of how wonderful and capable they are. I can talk to anyone about anything.

What makes me the best version of myself?

Meditation and scheduling time to do nothing makes me the best version of myself. Moving my body, getting enough rest, taking time to visualize, and create. Drinking matcha, and eating nourishing foods. Hanging out with my friends and family. Snuggling with my sweet boyfriend and puppy. Travel, photography, and painting. All these things make my life feel full, nourishing and abundant.

What are my aspirations?

My overall goal is to be a catalyst of change in the consciousness of this generation. To really show people how to integrate wellness and mindfulness into their lives in a practical way. To teach connection and manifestation and meditation on a global level.

I’d also like to put on an art / photography show as well as curate an online shop!

My Biggest Success?

My biggest success has been learning how to face my shadows and all of my self-limiting beliefs and transform their debilitating darkness into light and power.

My Most Challenging Moment?

Although my life has been full of blessings, I’ve also overcome many challenges of all kinds. Moving to foreign countries by myself, learning how to get out of toxic relationships, opening up (to the world wide web) about my experience with sexual assault… Those have been great challenges that have helped shape who I am today.

My Motto?

Create the life you want to live. We are so used to giving away all of our power, and playing the role of victims, afraid to take responsibility. It’s time to take that power back and take our lives into our own hands. We are here to create. So lets do so with excitement and joy!

My Favorite People/Role Models?

My dad has been such a solid human in my life. He is always there for me, no matter what, with love and support. My first ashtanga teacher turned acupuncturist, Maria Villella has also and still does have a huge positive impact on my life. George Falcon, my late spiritual teacher, helped me heal wounds and taught me about the world of transcending consciousness. Jonni Pollard, creator of 1 Giant Mind, the app that got me into meditation. I am going to be participating in his first ever teacher training this January 2018, and I couldn’t be more excited to study under him in person.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

So many! Where do I even begin… anywhere tropical… Aruba, Thailand, Mexico. I also love Morocco and Greece. I could spend the entire summer in Mykonos…

My Favorite Products/Objects?

All of my crystals! Seriously, I love them all. They are talismans of magic. I love my camera. I love my 5 Minute Journal.

My Current Passions?

My current passions are exploring meditation and yoga nidra on a deeper level. Law of attraction and how I can be more aligned with the energy that created the whole universe to create more magic in my life. Travel. Photography. Design. Becoming the absolute best version of myself.
