Nick Lowery: CEO, LowerySpeaks.com & All Time Leading Scorer, Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame

My NativeAdVantage:

Bio:

Nick Lowery played 18 years in the NFL; He lived these values. The Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Famer and 7-time All Pro is the Chiefs all-time leading scorer. But you can’t pigeon hole Nick Lowery. Some speakers transcend stereotypes, and in so doing, help us break through our own limiting beliefs. Nick helped launch Americorps for President Clinton, and his humanitarian work with youth earned him the NFL Players’ most honored award, the Justice Byron Whizzer White Award. The placekicking position is the most pressured single second in sports. The ball is snapped 8 yards, caught, spun, placed down and kicked in barely a second.  The Ball is not spinning before it is kicked for barely a tenth of a second.  Then kicked over 11 very large and angry men paid millions to block (and maybe kill!) the kicker.  All this on a stage watched by millions of viewers.  Nick shares the lessons of bringing your best to your own white-hot moments of pressure, your own moments of truth, to take you to a  new level and brand of success!

His message is about thinking outside the box by tapping into your prime gifts, values and focus to achieve a new level of purpose and performance. Nick can talk about the lessons of sports, but as a legislative aide for 4 US Senators and 3 Presidents, he can bring fresh oxygen to our attempts to make sense of a social, political and economic system that has largely failed us and our position as the rightful creative and entrepreneurial heart of the world. Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Famer Nick Lowery’s message is Focus, Passion & Purpose restore the creative genius each of us has within us that manifests our highest self!

What do I do best?

Inspire people to find their purpose by refining it to be how their “success” inspires others

What makes me the best version of myself?

Great persistence and focus – loving what I do, and loving making mistakes so fast you get to success faster!

What are my aspirations?

Revolutionize healthcare to integrate fully the science of CBD’s/endocannabinoids to boldly impact epidemics in Pain (Opioids), Autism, Cancer, Epilepsy, Diabetes, Lyme Disease, Sleep, CTE and concussions and much more!

My Biggest Success?

Learning that ‘success’ at the highest level is very empty if you can’t share it intentionally with your friends, family, loved ones and community! Always!

My Most Challenging Moment?

After being cut 11 times by 8 NFL teams, writing my mentor, the Chaplain at Dartmouth, wondering if I had made a mistake giving up a permanent job as staf (the only non attorney) on the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation to try one last time to make it in the NFL:  David McIlhiney wrote me as I was about to beat out the greatest kicker in the history of the NFL< Jan Stenerud, or be cut for the 12th and final time…, that  “Its NOT the Decisions in life that matter, it’s the COMMITMENT you bring to them that determines your legacy.”

That  totally crystallized my life as letting go all the past failures fears and mistakes, and bringing about bringing ALL your focus and presence to this moment – whether the classic presence to be the most accurate kicker in NFL history, which I became, or presence with anyone, whether homeless or famous – all are equally worthy of our presence, focus, compassion,  wisdom, empathy and love!

My Motto?

Never, Never Never, Never, Never Give UP!!

My Favorite People/Role Models?

Muhammad Ali (my former neighbor for 10 years), Jesus, my parents Hazel and Sidney Lowery, Tom Brady, Bill Clinton, Winston Churchill, Harrison Ford, Russell Crowe, Russell Wilson (his father Harry Wilson and I were close friends in college and Harry asked me to be a founding Board member of the African American Sports Hall of Fame  - oh and you forgot one question - best book- I like "A New Earth" by Eckart Tolle…all about separating the endless satisfactions of the Spirit vs the hungers of the Ego

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

The Amalphi Coast: Ravello, Italy and the Hotel San Pietro in Positano, and New Orleans

My Favorite Products/Objects?

My mind….creativity and its disciplined and focused, even unbridled expression is the key to all greatness, joy, happiness and peace.

My Current Passions?

See above – Hemp-based (NON marijuana non psychotropic) CBD’s and health,

and also, Raising the importance of American Indian children and Culture (see Native Vision which I founded, and raising the importance of the homeless and homeless veterans (My Champions for the Homeless Program is in its 11th year), and saving the game of football by severely reducing the threat of concussions and CTE.

IN OTHER NEWS,

Think Rich Films announces the October 14th release of Think and Grow Rich: The Legacy, a feature-length docudrama chronicling inspirational stories of some of today’s most renowned entrepreneurs, cultural icons and thought leaders. The film shares personal journeys of rising above circumstance and how iconic author Napoleon Hill's timeless principles can help one achieve ultimate success.

Think and Grow Rich: The Legacy unlocks the eminent significance behind the bestselling self-help book of all time,Think and Grow Rich, and reveals the global impact it has created. Many of world's most notable people have been deeply influenced by its philosophy including Bill Gates, Michael Jordan, Elon Musk, Tony Robbins and Oprah Winfrey.

Originally published in 1937, Think and Grow Rich was the result of a 25-year journey where Hill discovered that that those who succeed in any industry do so irrespective of their circumstance, that potential is not predicated on age, race, education, gender, finances or any other perceived disadvantage.

Think and Grow Rich ignited a flame of ambition, and helped end the Great Depression. One hundred million copies and 80 years later, it remains the best-selling book of all time and continues to inspire ordinary people to extraordinary achievement. It is the playbook through which countless innovators unlock their potential, creating an alternate reality of abundance, purpose and prosperity.
