Katie Dalebout: Best selling Author & Podcaster

My NativeAdVantage:

In 2013 Katie Dalebout launched the weekly podcast Let It Out which now has over 100 episodes. She’s the author of the Amazon best-selling book Let It Out: A Journey Through Journaling (Hay House, 2016) and has contributed to Hello Giggles, Refinery29, and Mind Body Green. Through her speaking and writing she aims to help people develop a positive image of their bodies by embracing their creativity & personality outside of their physicality.

What do I do best?

I’m confident in my ability to connect with a wide range people. I’m pretty intuitive and perceptive of people so I’m able to carry a conversation with basically anyone. I think this helps me in both life and business.

What makes me the best version of myself?

I’m the best version of myself when I’m present and connected to myself, other people, my creative work, and living in the moment rather than planning for the future of distracting myself with worry for fear. When I’m self-aware and honest I’m at my best and product my best work.

What are my aspirations?

My goal right now is to have more organization so I can feel less busy and feel like I have more space to collaborate and create at the level I want to. Personally, I want more time, space, and freedom to travel and explore more.

My Biggest Success?

Moving to New York City from the Midwest was a big deal for me and I’m really proud I did it because it was something I wanted so much.

My Most Challenging Moment?

Choosing to move to new york and just making the decision was a challenging moment.

My Motto?

You are what you pretend to be so be careful what you pretend to be. – Kurt Vonnegut

I really take this very strongly and think of it constantly. I simultaneously believe that when people are real and vulnerable, that’s when we fall in love with them and can truly connect which is what we all want as humans to connect and be seen fully as our real selves to other humans.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

Elizabeth Gilbert, Josh Radnor, Gabrielle Bernstein, Greta Gerwig, Tavi Gevenson, Joanna Godard, Ashley C. Ford, Kelsey Miller, and Christy Harrison

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

I love Hawaii, I’ve been there twice and both times have been magical experiences. I want to visit Japan, Bali, Paris, and South America.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

I love plants, my favorite store to buy them in NYC is called the Sill. They pot them for you and tell you how to take care of them which is great.

I take my little macbook air everywhere, it’s my greatest tool.

I love RSM make-up and Franklin & Whitman skincare.

Food wise, I love this probiotic super food miso called Sea Clear. I drink it almost every single day and I love it. I also love cranberry kombucha, sea vegetables, green apples, and pumpkin seed butter is my favorite kind of nut butter.

My Current Passions?

I love collage art looking at it and creating it. I also love walking around and exploring new york city with my boyfriend and friends and by myself while listening to podcasts.
