What do I do best?

Be myself! What else is there really to do or be!? I feel the most important thing we can do is master being ourselves. When we work to understand the self we are able to love and trust our hearts which helps us in so many ways. It helps us be more confident, make better choices and in turn help other people be themselves!

What makes me the best version of myself?

Three things make me the best version of me: 1. Being persistent 2. Being Myself 3. Surrounding myself with good people

Being persistent is a quality that has lent a lot of success to me. I truly believe that I can do anything if I work hard enough. (And so can anyone reading this)  For example, when I worked at InTouch Magazine I was trying to get an interview at an event with Vanessa Hudgens. She was walking down the red carpet and did not stop for me. (This was my first red carpet I ever was on)  So what did I do? I decided to find her publicist inside the event and ask if I could interview her. When I asked her rep, he said no. But did that stop me? No! Lucky for me she had a second rep with her. I then asked the second rep who let me interview Vanessa. And if that rep would have said no, I would have taken their business card and emailed or called them trying to set up an interview and build a relationship so I could get one in the future. This is how I have achieved many of my goals. I always joke, that if I’m not achieving what I want it’s because I don’t want it bad enough. There is always a way to achieve your goals!

Being myself -- I know I said this earlier but being myself makes me happy. Whenever I feel not accepted for who I am,  I feel so negative, sad and restricted. Who doesn’t? Of course there is always room to grow and improve, but we have to love who we are. I used to think that I was too nice and I thought that being too nice would make people not take me seriously or even worse be mean to me (it’s happened) but I like being nice and kind so I decided that I was going to change my mindset and think of why being nice and kind was a great quality and would make people want to work with me. That was the best decision I ever made! I was a gossip reporter...basically the opposite of being nice but by being myself I was able to get celebrities to tell me their stories and earn their trust! When we are ourselves we attract the people we want into our lives :)

Surrounding myself with good people--- Did you ever hear the quote, “You are who you surround yourself with?” I live by that! I only want to surround myself with people who make me feel good about being myself and people who are happy. Being successful and positive is a mindset and nothing makes me feel better than being around good people!

What are my aspirations?

Personal: My personal goals are to find balance and peace within myself. Think zen like Ghandi. We can have all the “success” in the world, but if we don’t take time to be at peace and balanced then what time will we have to enjoy it. I also want to learn to sleep better & stress less. And of course get married, have a family & live a long healthy happy life!

Career-wise: It is my dream to become a motivational speaker/personality, or perhaps become a correspondent for a show like Oprah where I can do random acts of kindness. I want to speak to people and inspire them, at schools and at seminars etc.  I also would like to have my own motivational show. Additionally, I want to own a few businesses & be like the sharks on Shark Tank. I currently have a business where I produce events also, so I hope to always have the ability to bring people together through events. I want to have my jobs be more passions, rather than a “job.” I am in the process of figuring out how I can do all this and work remotely! I used to think it was crazy to want to do so much, but who says I can’t do it all? My ultimate business goal is to work less & get more. I want to figure out how to be as efficient as possible because you can always get more money but you can’t get more time. So how do I make my time worth more money?!  (And now you know why balance is so important to me!)

My Biggest Success?

My biggest success is when I saved my friends life when I was 9. She had epilepsy and we were at a water park for camp. I was close to her and used to take care of her when she had seizures.  She was in the pool and I was sitting on the side with my friend.  I could see she had a seizure coming on & she was trying to fight (but losing) to get out of the water.  Her seizure hadn’t come yet but she was losing her ability to be conscious and I could see that. So I jumped into the water, got her out and told my friend to get a counselor while I sat with my friend while she had her seizure.

My Most Challenging Moment?

My most challenging moment was letting go of someone that I loved. I love people with all of my heart and always want to see the best in others.  But it was a toxic relationship & I knew that it wasn’t healthy so I had to leave. That whole period of my life was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through. But I am a stronger person now and I can  help others going through similar things.

My Motto?

“What you believe you receive” &  my favorite quote by Marianne Williamson: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

My Favorite People/Role Models?

My mom & Dad, Ghandi, Lucille Ball, Tony Robbins, Oprah & Marianne Williamson

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Anywhere with a tropical beach!! Hawaii, Thailand, etc! I also love Chicago (where I’m from) & I loved going to Barcelona, Spain!

My Favorite Products/Objects?

I actually don’t think I have a favorite product or object in particular. I’m more of a person who likes things money can’t buy like going for a walk and talking with friends & family.

My Current Passions?

Right now I am really excited about growing my blog and YouTube channel. I’ve decided to make it all about my vision board coming true in real life! Basically I set a goal & document achieving it.  I also give advice on how you can make your dreams come true too.  I hope that all of it inspires people to live the life they want.
