Natalie Costa: Confidence Coach

My NativeAdVantage:

Bio:

Natalie is a Confidence Coach who empowers women to step up and into a greater version of themselves so that they can follow their passion and live the life they love. She encourages them to dream big, dig deep and take action to create a life of fulfilment and reward. Her warm, bubbly nature is infectious and her coaching is geared to get you unstuck and right where you want to be!

Coming from a background in education she is no stranger to motivating and inspiring others to be their best. She spent 10 years within the educational sector before deciding to follow her passion and empowering others to move beyond their comfort zone, overcome their barriers and achieve their goals. In a short space of time she has already spoken and spread her message to young women in business, female graduates at Cambridge University and has recently been involved in a project, “Something to Shout About,” which is a celebration of female health and fitness.

Being a keen fitness enthusiast Natalie was motivated to become a fitness instructor and now regularly teaches at a top London Gym, Gymbox. Her love of health and wellness has also inspired her to help women feel comfortable in their own skin, to embrace themselves as they are and to feel confident within their bodies.

Her philosophy is simple: To find and live your purpose! Do what makes you feel alive, excited and fulfilled. Be the producer of your own story and create your OWN personal success.

What do you do best?

Teach, motivate and inspire.

Coming from a background within the educational sector I have mastered the ability to teach and convey information. Having spent the last 10 years working with children under the age of 7, I have certainly learned the art of “breaking things down” and keeping it simple!

Motivating and inspiring others to be their best, whether it is through my teaching, instructing or coaching makes me feel alive and I love seeing how my clients are able to move through their barriers and create the changes they wish to see - stepping confidently into that greater version of themselves.

What makes you the best?

My love for what I do, my enthusiasm and a deep desire to connect and serve - that and my relentless pursuit!

I must admit I am very persistent and will not easily give in and surrender. I have hands on experience when it comes to making a change, stepping out of my comfort zone and having to take a leap of faith, doing the very thing that scares me and not knowing what the outcome will be. Feeling confident has not always come naturally for me and I am continuously working on embracing my fears and taking action. I have a deep desire to connect and serve. We all have our own path to follow and our own fears to face and by empowering others to make that change, to have the courage to step out into a greater version of themselves I can truly say that I come alive, I feel fulfilled and know that I have provided a great sense of value.

How will you stay the best?

I believe that I will always be a ‘work in progress.’

Life is a continuous flow, constantly changing and evolving. Therefore I will always be continue to grow and step out of my comfort zone. To me, it’s not about being better than anybody else, but rather being the best version of ME. Being true to myself and taking the actions to step into a greater version of ME. I love a challenge, an opportunity to grow and be inspired, to learn something new and I’ll often remind myself that I’m becoming “comfortable with feeling uncomfortable.”

What are your aspirations?

Personal: To do what I love, to maintain balance and harmony, to cherish my body and those that I love. To stay connected to God and continue to grow my faith in Him. Remain grateful for all moments, big and small. And to have copious amount of strong, good quality coffee!

Business: Continue  to empower and encourage women to confidently step into a greater version of themselves. To raise awareness among young women at schools and universities through teaching and training programmes, and aid them with the tools they need to confidently achieve their goals. And to spread the message that we all have something of value to offer, to embrace all that we are and focus on becoming our own personal best.

(Summer Leadership Institute Programme)

What fascinates you?

People, how we connect and interact. The human mind and the power of our thoughts-how they influence and shape our reality. The beauty and simplicity of nature.

Favorite Motto:

The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek - Joseph Campbell

I think there is so much truth to this. Often the very thing that we fear is exactly what we should be doing, as this will open up the opportunities and experiences that we seek. Mastin Kipp has a lovely way of putting it - fear is a compass, showing you the way to go.

Favorite People:

My parents - for their continuous love and support. I may once have shied away from their advice, but now I appreciate their inputs of wisdom!

My Fiancé - he is my everything. His sense of calm and rationality have certainly kept me grounded!

My sister and my friends- I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by others who are positive, uplifting and inspiring. I believe everyone needs to have a positive ‘cheering squad’ to keep you going, support you and tell you like it is!

Favorite Places:

My study with its pretty view over our garden. Its not big, but I love the sense of peace and tranquility it provides.

Our holiday home when I was growing up. A Swiss-style cottage by the sea, Brenton-on-Sea in South Africa. The balcony overlooked the Indian Ocean and sunsets were amazing!

Summer in London - The city comes alive and there is a continuous ‘holiday buzz’ about; the array of outdoor activities especially the variety of roof-bars to visit!

Book stores - I can get lost in them for hours.

Any quirky coffee shop in London Town serving good quality coffee. The quirkier the better!

Favorite Products:

Pact Coffee - every month I get sent a different blend and enjoy the indulgence of that first cup in the morning.

My Nike workout trainers - totally essential for working out and when you need to walk quickly from A to B.

My Macbook - I’d be lost without it, everything is on there and I use it for most of my coaching sessions too.

Headspace - I’m in love with the app. Especially useful when travelling on the train. The guided meditations are really great.

Lindor Chocolate - the red, wrapped balls are the best.

Current Passions:

I have recently started to draw again. I use to love doing it whilst at school. I especially enjoy drawing cartoons and sometimes fantasise about becoming a children's book illustrator! Quentin Blake use to be one of my favourites when I was little.

Yoga - I have always wanted to participate in classes yet I never seemed to have the time to do it. I’ve recently started attending classes regularly (created the time to do it) and I am hooked. I absolutely love it!

Travelling to new places and exploring new cities. Discovering food, sights and meeting new people.
