Ori Moor: Founder of Take Me Out NYC

My NativeAdVantage: Founder of Take Me Out NYC - New York's #1 Nightlife Attraction

Bio:

Israeli born entrepreneur Ori Mor immigrated to Montreal, Canada first and eventually settling in Queens, New York at age four. Mor, has been fascinated with the city since. After an unfortunate return to his homeland at age six when his parents divorced. When returning to Israel he settled in the Tel Aviv suburb Holon with his mother and two sisters. Receiving his high school education in one of the country’s most well-known agricultural schools, Mikva Israel. While living in Holon, he spent every summer vacation in New York City with his father and distant family learning to navigate the city streets and local habits. Before joining the IDF for his mandatory military service he spent another eight months managing a retail location in SoHo when he was only 18 years old. Meeting international celebrities, Mor grew enamored by multicultural effect of Manhattan had on his creative thinking. In 2009, following his honorable discharge for three years in a mobile artillery battery stationed across Israel and taking part in the Second Lebanon war. He decided to return to NYC, but before he would wanted join two friends traveling through South America.

After a four month trip where he traveled through Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica, he discovered traveling and the friends he had made while traveling would be his ideal business venture. In late 2009 he settled in Manhattan, starting his college education at John Jay College to earn fair grades. He later transferred to a business program at Baruch College. After a year in the accredited CUNY School Mor decided it was time to put together his passion for travel and his knowledge of local nightlife. While at school, he had hosted over 10 guests he met through the sharing site Couch Surfing. Identifying a need that was not answered by the crowd hosting site, Mor decided the city has a need to a local nightlife guide service and organized his first tour via a forum on the site. Joining forces with a close friend he had met in the army, they together created a brand image behind the tour company, Take Me Out. While other tour companies lacked a strong brand creditability. Since conducting his first tour in June 2012, Take Me Out has entertained over 4,000 guests from over 20 nations.
