As a member of the Massachusetts Small Business Advisory Council, Professor Lopez assisted in creating initiatives at the state government level that will enable small businesses to grow, expand and create jobs. He is also a Certified SCORE Mentor and president of Valentino Recording and Oldham Films, LLC. Teaching Philosophy My objective in teaching Entrepreneurship classes is to bring real world business management experience to the classroom with the goal of preparing students for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

What do you do best?

I have the ability to achieve personal and professional goals and objectives. Ever since I first heard the motivational tape, “The Strangest Secret” by Earl Nightingale, I have understood the importance of setting and driving towards personal and professional success. Defining success any way you want. Because of this, I have been able to assist others in achieving success in the most important areas of their lives.

What makes you the best?

One hundred percent commitment to hard work and dedication to self improvement and the focus on specific action steps that move me forward to the achievement of my goals.

How will you stay the best?

As a Shaolin Kempo Karate Black Belt, I have learned that you cannot stand still. Whether our skills are physical, organizational or involve leadership and management, they can atrophy if not used on a regular basis. So, in order to stay at the top of my game, I maintain a full schedule of Martial Arts exercise as well as learning and adopting new tools and techniques to challenge my students as well as my coaching clients to be the best they can be.

What are your aspirations: business & personal?

Personal: As a professional musician and filmmaker, I am in the process of forming a new rock band as well as writing a screenplay for a ghost story. And, of course, I want to do everything I can to be a good husband, instructor, friend and colleague.

Business: After concluding a 30 career on Wall Street, it is now my intention to become the best college professor that I can possibly be and to build my business coaching and advisory firm Black Belt Business Advisors into a renowned worldwide business.

What fascinates you?

I am fascinated by technology. I do my business coaching completely online. I use a virtual online classroom to deliver educational business coaching and advisory services to clients globally. As a musician and filmmaker, I use all of the latest technology to create music videos and short films.

Favorite Motto?

“The harder I work, the luckier I get”. There are definitely smarter more gifted people than I am, but not too many people can out work me!

Favorite People?

My wife and my mother are both inspirations to me. Also, some of the world’s greatest motivational speakers inspire me including Earl Nightingale, Dale Carnegie, Tony Robbins and Norman Vincent Peale.

Favorite Places?

Home is where the heart is. Our home in Central Massachusetts is surrounded by conservation land filled with diverse wild life. Also Bermuda is one of my favorite places on earth.

Favorite Products?

Gibson guitars, iphone and ipad, Sea Ray boats

Current Passions?

Martial Arts, performing and recording music, filmmaking, coaching, mentoring and advising talented individuals that want to grow and reach their full potential.
