Palm Beach's Most Zen Hotels

The Colony Palm Beach

As The Colony turns 70, the property is unveiling a fresh point of view under new owners, Andrew and Sarah Wetenhall, who are as enchanted by the hotel’s cheeky elegance as past guests like Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland have been. Andrew’s father was the principal owner of the hotel from 1970 to 1990 and the couple has stayed at the hotel every one of the 20 years they have been together, so it's truly been their home for quite some time.

This year, The Wetenhalls are heightening The Colony’s energy and vitality with experiences that reflect Palm Beach life today. Guests can enjoy new luxuries like complimentary bespoke bikes, morning yoga by the pool, new beach amenities, wellness retreats and tailored kids’ activities. The Colony’s newly minted Guest Relations Department is also available to assist in booking golf, tennis, fitness, or any other whim.

With a distinct Palm Beach sensibility that is both inviting and playful, the new Breeze Ocean Kitchen was unveiled in 2016 as an energetic, oceanfront restaurant that promises to offer unforgettable dining experiences. The seasonally rotating menu features dishes that reflect the sun-‐splashed Palm Beach lifestyle and celebrate the Atlantic’s bounteous “fruits de mer.” A focus on Floridian flavors is brought to life with spices, styles and preparations that infuse hints of the Caribbean, Latin America and Asia throughout. The menu’s vintage cocktails reinvent classic beachside libations with the most current mixology techniques and trends. Breeze Ocean Kitchen is open daily from 11 a.m. to dusk, weather permitting. Visit

The social hub of Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, Stir Bar and Terrace creates craft cocktails with an artfully curated menu that showcases trend‐leading mixology techniques and combinations, such as tableside smoke infusions, tea‐infused cocktails and the exclusive Eau Whisky. Located just off the resort’s lobby, Stir comes alive each evening during the signature “lobby turndown,” as the lights are dimmed, countless white candles are lit and guests are offered chilled champagne to toast to the glamourous Palm Beach lifestyle. Live musical entertainment signals that the evening celebrations have officially begun and the social experience extends to the oceanfront terrace, where guests can enjoy their favorite libation and share seaside stories around a sizzling fire pit. Stir is open daily from noon to midnight. Visit

For sophisticated yet casual dining with magnificent vistas of the Atlantic for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Temple Orange offers an artistic menu, combining Mediterranean and American cuisines. Highlights include an extensive Mediterranean-style breakfast buffet, platters of fruit’s de mer for sharing, seasonal market salads, indulgent entrees such as Key West Rock Shrimp and Seafood Bouillabaisse, and house made desserts that include seasonal tarts and profiteroles with house spun ice cream.
