What do you love most about Your City?

LA is a notoriously tricky city to live in. It took me five plus years to finally feel like I was home, but now I truly appreciate and enjoy it here. I love living on a hill with a view of the city from my house and I appreciate that the beach is just a car ride away. In a city that can feel chaotic at times, there are many great spots where you can truly zen out and find some peace.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

My favorite breakfast spot is 101 Coffee Shop on Franklin Ave.  It’s not the fanciest food, but it has the look and feel of a classic diner. It has reliable eggs, potatoes, and pancakes; which is good because I typically order all three and make it a meal. Breakfast is my favorite meal because it also includes that first heavenly sip of hot coffee. That glorious first sip never gets old.

My favorite dinner spot is Parks BBQ in Koreatown. It always feels like a classic LA experience. The meat and veggies are delicious on the grill and the large tables are perfect for group gatherings.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – I’m typically just waking up at 6am. I am an early riser which is a curse and a blessing. Since I make cakes for friends when I am not at my job, I typically make a cup of coffee and get started on a cake before I have to head into the office.

10:00 AM - My work day starts around 10am. It always take me a bit of time to really lock into “work mode.” So I ease my way in by making my second cup of coffee and having breakfast number two! Can you sense food is a trend here?

12:00 PM - Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?

My favorite power lunch is Yu/Mi Sushi in Beverly Hills. It’s quick, delicious, and I honestly can’t get enough of it. Make sure you order you order the Nicky Roll!

7:00 PM -  I am typically headed home from work at 7pm. Either sitting in traffic listening to Pod Save America or singing along to the SZA album.  Probably also thinking about dinner and most likely opting to eat out rather than in.

11:00 PM - I am most likely in bed at 11pm. One of the curses of being an early riser is getting tired super early. But I LOVE to tell my boyfriend I am awake enough to start watching a show, which is always a bummer for him when I am passed the hell out five minutes in.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I would LOVE to tell you it’s water. But I struggle with water. It’s boring and tastes like nothing! I know that’s a harsh way to talk about water, but I am owning this movement! Coffee usually gets me thru the first part of my day (just one or two cups) with cream, no sugar.  Or a La Croix of course! I average three to four LaCroix’s or sparkling waters a day. Our office keeps the La Croix’s flowing at all times.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

I definitely use Instagram the most, but I also communicate thru WhatsApp all day. So it may be a tie.

My favorite instagram account is LokoKitchen, which features intricately designed pies, by baker Lauren Ko. Check her out!

What should everyone try at least once?

1) Go to Wendy’s. 2) Order French Fries and a Frosty. 3) Dip Fries in Frosty 4) Eat & Repeat.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

Getting lost in general sounds terrible for me because I am somewhat of a control freak.  But I love to explore and blend into the crowds of New York City.  It’s the best to turn onto a street I’ve never been before and discover a whole new magical world of bakeries and shops, etc.
